SALT LAKE CITY — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted for questioning in connection to a fatal downtown shooting early Saturday morning.
The shooting stemmed from an argument in a parking lot at 55 E. Exchange Place and left one person dead.
Officials are searching for Thalwallkelah Lamar Washington, 38, for questioning in connection to the incident, according to a news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.
Washington, who goes by his middle name, is known to drive a black 2007 Mercedes Benz with California license plate number 7XCP832, officials said.
Police also have reason to believe cell phone video of the altercation may have been taken by people not involved in Saturday’s incident.
Anyone who may have witnessed the altercation or has information about Washington’s whereabouts is asked to contact police at 801-799-3000.
