FARMINGTON, Davis County — Lagoon's Cannibal roller coaster finally opened on July 2, nearly a month after the park opened daily for the season on June 5, and by many accounts it was worth the wait.

If you haven't made it to the park yet, or if the actual roller-coaster experience isn't your thing, you're in luck, because this video exists. You too can now experience the 208-foot drop and speeds of up to 70 mph without being jostled, bumped or even a bit windblown. (You can even see the incredibly long line from the coaster's opening day, if you're into that sort of thing.)

Roller-coaster aficionado and YouTube user Death by Illusion received special permission from Lagoon to film and post a front-seat point-of-view video, according to the video description.

The video shows the ride from start to finish, including the elevator ride to the top, and a thrilling reveal of the fact that no coaster track is in view before you're plummeted into the void.

Since Death by Illusion had permission the film his ride, it's important to remember his posted warning for your safety and the safety of others if you visit the park.

"Taking loose articles on rides is NOT ALLOWED on this or any rides at Lagoon Amusement Park. I have written permission from the Owner of Lagoon Corporation and prior knowledge and knew that I was filming this and other attractions at Lagoon Amusement Park. Please for the safety of other riders and guests DO NOT take loose articles or cameras on this or any rides at Lagoon Amusement Park."
