DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Jordan Perkins had 13 points and 14 assists on Monday night and North Carolina Central beat Howard 83-66.

Dominique Reid made all seven of his shots from the field and finished with 16 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles (14-13, 8-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Reginald Gardner Jr. was 4 of 5 from 3-point range for 12 points, Larry McKnight Jr. scored 11 and Raasean Davis added 10 points.

North Carolina Central opened the game with an 11-2 run and never trailed. The Eagles pushed the lead to 44-30 early in the second half with a 9-0 run and the Bison (8-21, 5-8) cut the deficit to single digits only twice after that.

The Eagles were 9 of 16 from 3-point range and 32 of 56 (57 percent) overall from the field.

RJ Cole had 24 points and Charles Williams added 18 for Howard.
