GOTHENBURG, Sweden (AP) — Henrik Stenson rolled in six straight birdies around the turn in his 8-under 62 in the second round of the Scandinavian Invitation, leaving the Swede two strokes off the lead held by Matthew Fitzpatrick on Friday.
Stenson tapped in for the ninth birdie of his round at No. 18, completing an inward 29, to post his lowest score in Sweden. He was tied for second place with Ashun Wu (64) on 9 under par overall at Hills Golf & Sports Club in Gothenburg
Fitzpatrick shot a 65 to follow up an opening-round 64, giving him his lowest ever 36-hole total of 129.
Joakim Lagergren (69) is another Swede in contention at his home event on the European Tour, a shot adrift of Stenson alongside Jason Scrivener of Australia (63).
