IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Bruno Fernando scored 11 points, including the last two on a putback with 7.8 seconds left, to lift No. 24 Maryland to a 66-65 win over No. 21 Iowa. Maryland (20-7, 11-5 Big Ten) gave up an 11-point lead over the final four minutes, but held on against an Iowa team that had won its last two games via buzzer-beater and had two looks at the basket in the final seven seconds.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Matt Haarms tipped in a basket with 3.2 seconds remaining to lift No. 15 Purdue over Indiana 48-46. Ryan Cline had 11 points, and Haarms finished with six for the Boilermakers, who have won three straight at Assembly Hall for the first time in school history. It didn't come easily. Indiana's Romeo Langford scored 14 points despite not taking a shot in the second half, and Juwan Morgan's 3-pointer grazed the rim at the buzzer.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Jim Harbaugh is taking the University of Michigan football team to South Africa in May. The Wolverines will not practice in South Africa just as they did not in France last year. Harbaugh did hold practices in Italy in 2017. Michigan alumni Bobby Kotick and Don Graham funded last year's trip, and Kotick paid for the visit to Italy. Harbaugh has said Kotick will pay for the tours as long as the coach wants to do them.

UNDATED (AP) — North Carolina coach Roy Williams to get an up-close look at Zion Williamson when the No. 8 Tar Heels play at top-ranked Duke on Wednesday. Williams recruited Williamson hard before the rim-wrecking power forward decided to play at Duke

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State forward Nick Ward had surgery on his broken left hand and is expected to be out for at least a few weeks. Ward said he was injured when his hand hit an opposing player's elbow in a 62-44 win over Ohio State. He is the team's second-leading scorer at 15.1 points per game and third-leading rebounder at 6.7. The 6-foot-9 junior returned to school after putting his name in the NBA draft last year.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Lamar Stevens scored 16 of his 29 points in the first half and Penn State pulled away from Nebraska 95-71. Rasir Bolton scored 21 while Mike Watkins and Josh Reaves added 10 apiece for the Nittany Lions (10-16, 3-12 Big Ten) who have won three of five.
