Princeton rallies to beat Iona 85-81 behind Cannady's 22

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — Devin Cannady scored 22 points with six 3-pointers, including a go-ahead 3 with 1:31 left, and Princeton rallied to beat Iona 85-81 on Saturday at the Air Force Reserve Hall of Fame Boardwalk Classic.

Jaelin Llewellyn set career highs with 22 points and eight assists and Jose Morales added 12 points with five assists for the Tigers (5-4), who trailed 31-30 at halftime and by 11 with 8:54 to play.

Princeton hit three straight 3s amid a 16-5 run and tied it at 68 on Morales' layup. The lead traded hands until Cannady's go-ahead 3 sparked an 8-0 run for an 83-77 lead with 16 seconds left. Iona's Rickey McGill made a layup before Cannady's free throws put the Tigers up by six with eight seconds to go.

Myles Stephens scored 10 for the Tigers, who are 7-0 all-time against Iona.

E.J Crawford scored 21 points with a career-high five 3s to lead five teammates in double-figure scoring for the Gaels (2-7), who have lost five straight. Iona last played Princeton 11 seasons ago.
