WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) — West Valley City police say a 22-year-old woman was arrested in the death of a 20-year-old man found lying on a road with fatal injuries suffered when he got out of a moving vehicle and was run over.
Police say investigators determined that Keirstein Tomasini was driving a stolen pickup that ran over Hairon Freyre-Portuondo on Tuesday night after Freyre-Portuondo got out of the moving vehicle following a dispute of some kind.
According to police, Tomasini was arrested and jailed on suspicion of felony charges of manslaughter, failure to remain at an accident involving serious injury and obstruction of justice.
Court records don't list a defense attorney for Tomasini who could comment on the allegations.
