OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Officials say a Salt Lake City-bound Southwest flight made an emergency landing in northern Utah after a pregnant woman passed out.
Ogden-Hinckley Airport manager Jon Greiner told the Standard-Examiner the flight coming from San Jose, California was in a holding pattern for nearly an hour due to bad weather when she lost consciousness on Sunday afternoon.
Greiner says the crew landed in Ogden so she could get medical attention. She is expected to make a full recovery.
Greiner says the delay was extended because the pilots had exceeded their maximum working hours and new pilots had to fly the plane to Salt Lake City.
Fire Chief Mike Mathieu says the flight was grounded for about three hours in Ogden, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) north of Salt Lake City.
