DETROIT (AP) — The TechTown business incubator at Wayne State University is hosting a cross-border hackathon aimed at boosting the health care industry.
The "Hacking Health Windsor-Detroit" event takes place May 1 to May 3. It invites professionals from the health care and information technology industries to conceptualize, design and build mobile applications and IT solutions for the health care sector.
The top ideas will be eligible for more than $20,000 in prizes. The event aims to draw participants from Windsor, Ontario, and Detroit. Doctors, nurses, hospital officials, computer programmers, graphic designers, students and investors are among those invited to participate.
The event is organized by TechTown in Detroit and WEtech Alliance and Hackforge in Windsor. Wayne State University is the lead sponsor for the event.
