PROVO, Utah (AP) -- When you acknowledge the Provo city flag, you might want to put your hand over your eyes instead of your heart.

That's because Provo's white and rainbow striped flag has been ranked as the eighth ugliest in the United States in an Internet survey.

The survey of 150 city flags was conducted by The North American Vexillological Association, an organization dedicated to flag research.

Each city's name and flag design was placed on a Web site where association members and the general public could rate them.

About 800 voters decided Washington, D-C, had the nation's best.

Provo came in at Number 143, and ranking dead last with the worst flag was Pocatello, Idaho.
