(Photo courtesy The Associated Press)(KSL News) Gov. Jon Huntsman is proposing new taxes on services, including legal fees, medical bills and even carpet installation. In exchange, sales tax on food would be removed.
The idea is to spread out the tax. However, opponents say it's too complicated.
Huntsman and lawmakers rolled back 2 percent of the state sales tax on food in 2007, and the governor has made repealing the rest one of his goals for his second term.
