HARRISVILLE, Weber County — Police on Wednesday identified a man who died last Friday after an auto-pedestrian crash in Harrisville.

Harrisville police wrote on Facebook that 26-year-old Tre Jones-Scott was not in a crosswalk when he was struck by a southbound vehicle about 9 p.m. on Friday.

The collision happened at 695 Washington Blvd., according to the post. The department wrote on Facebook that Jones-Scott was crossing eastbound in a poorly lit area during inclement weather while wearing dark clothing.

He died at the scene, police say.

"The preliminary investigation suggests that speed or alcohol were not contributing factors," the department wrote. The crash is still under investigation.
