LEHI — One man suffered injuries in a crash that shut down four lanes of northbound I-15 near 1200 North in Lehi for nearly an hour Wednesday afternoon.
The crash took place just before 2:30 p.m., according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Nick Street. A single vehicle lost control and hit a concrete barrier, he said.
The male driver of the car, who was the only occupant, was unconscious after the crash and was listed in poor to critical condition as of 4:30 p.m., Street said.
Two lanes were initially closed, but traffic was halted shortly before 2:10 p.m. to allow a medical helicopter to land on the freeway. Construction in the area slowed the medical responders, according to Street.
Two lanes reopened about 2:50 p.m. and the other two lanes were reopened soon after.
Further details about the crash were not released.
