SALT LAKE CITY — The FBI is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man dubbed the "The Great Outdoors Bandit."
Authorities say a man wearing a green Cabela's cap, sunglasses, black hoodie with the pi symbol, and bandana around his neck robbed at least four banks and credit unions in Boise and Orem in the past six months. The most recent robbery occurred May 24 at Alpine Credit Union, 351 E. 800 South, Orem.
In each case, the man handed the teller a note, took the money and fled on foot. He was seen getting into a dark-colored, two-door car, possibly a Subaru Outback or Legacy, after the March 24 robbery in Boise, according to the FBI.
