SALT LAKE CITY — One person was killed after being hit by a TRAX train Tuesday night, the Utah Transit Authority said.
The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m., west of 500 South and 1100 East. A bus bridge for passengers was put in place between UTA's 900 East and Stadium Stations.
UTA spokesman Remi Barron didn't immediately know the gender or approximate age of the victim. It wasn't clear exactly how the crash occurred, though UTA officials said they believe it was a suicide.
Nobody inside the train was injured.
