SALT LAKE CITY -- This Sunday, KSL 5 and KSL Newsradio will air a 30-minute documentary in conjunction with Deseret Media Companies' "Out in the Light" campaign.
"Out in the Light" is a collaborative effort by DMC and its various outlets to shine a light on pornography, with an emphasis on women whose spouses are involved with pornography.
On Sunday, following the afternoon session of LDS General Conference, KSL 5, KSL Newsradio and BYU-TV will air the special 30-minute documentary on pornography. Several couples will share their personal experiences about how pornography has impacted their lives, their marriages and families.

Jill Manning, Ph.D., a marriage and family therapist, explains, "This upstanding husband and father in one realm is using and lusting after and exercising unrighteous dominion with women in another realm of his life. Trying to integrate those two realities is very difficult to do and to come to terms with."
Rachelle Call says, "I was just bawling and crying and just completely coming apart in his office."
Another woman, Christina Anderson, says, "I felt like a big fool, I really did. But at the same time, this was my husband and the father of my children."
"Every one of our children heard his story that day, and I felt like in my empty trust cup there was just a half of a little drop put in there that day," adds Rhyll Croshaw.
The documentary will be hosted by Jayne Clayson Johnson. The program aims to educate viewers about the dangers of pornography as well as give viewers -- particularly women -- direction and support.
Dan Gray, a licensed clinical social worker and program director of LifeStar Network said, "People can overcome this problem. People do heal. And that needs to be the message that individuals and families have in their hearts."
Viewers and listeners will be directed to the website outinthelight.com for more information on the initiative. The site offers articles, resources, tools and support as well as a downloadable media pledge to help families put together a media "action" plan in their homes.
