Yellowstone sees second-busiest June on record

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — Nearly 810,900 people visited Yellowstone National Park in June.

The number is an increase over the 803,650 visitors in June 2017 and is second only to June 2016 when a record 838,300 visitors entered the park.

So far in 2018, Yellowstone has seen 1.38 million recreation visitors, a 2.5 percent increase from the same period last year.

Year-to-date visitation so far this year is 27 percent higher than five years ago in 2014.
