Jordan proves clutch as St. Francis (BKN) downs Saint Peters

NEW YORK (AP) — Jalen Jordan scored five of the last seven points for St. Francis Brooklyn to lead the Terriers to a 56-53 win over Saint Peter's on Saturday.

Quinn Taylor made 1 of 2 free throws for Saint Peter's with 3:08 left for a 53-49 lead. But the Peacocks wouldn't score again. Jordan made a 3-pointer with 2:23 left and sank a pair of free throws with 13 seconds to go. Chauncey Hawkins added a pair for the game's final margin after Davauhnte Turner missed the potential go-ahead jump shot for Saint Peter's.

Jordan finished with 21 points, Glenn Sanabria added 17 and Yaradyah Evans finished with a career-high 18 rebounds. The Terriers (7-4) now have won five of their last six games.

Turner scored 19 points, Quinn Taylor scored 12, and Dallas Watson and Samuel Idowu each score 11. The Peacocks (2-8) have dropped three straight.
