SALT LAKE CITY — Tickets for performances of the mega-popular musical “Hamilton” will be available for one Hamilton — or $10 — for 40 lucky people each night.

The show plays from April 11 to May 6 at the Eccles Theater in downtown Salt Lake City. There will be daily evening performances every day of the week except Mondays. There will also be matinee performances on April 12, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29 and on May 5 and 6.

People hoping to get $10 tickets must enter a lottery, which is available through the show’s website or on the Hamilton app.

The lottery will open at 11 a.m. Mountain Standard Time two days before each Hamilton performance and 40 tickets will be available for each show, according to the Eccles Theater website. The lottery will close at 9 a.m. the day before the show.

Also on KSL.com:

The drawing is limited to one entry per person, and winners can buy up to two tickets. There is no charge to enter the lottery.

Lottery winners will be notified via email or text message at 11 a.m. the day before the performance and will need to buy tickets by 4 p.m. that same day. Winners must buy tickets online with a credit card. People who don’t win the lottery also will be notified.

Lottery winners who purchase tickets can pick them up at the box office with a photo ID that matches the name that was entered in the lottery.
