SALT LAKE CITY — A semitrailer rolled over on an I-15 off-ramp at the Beck Street exit Friday, temporarily closing the ramp, officials said.
The rollover occurred sometime around 2 p.m. The off-ramp on the northbound side of the highway was closed due to the rollover, Utah Department of Transportation officials said on Twitter.
There were no injuries in the crash, Utah Highway Patrol trooper Lawrence Hopper said. The driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle and it rolled to the right, he said. Hopper was not sure what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The truck has a refrigerator unit, but there was no hazmat situation or spill as a result of the crash, Hopper said.
By 3:42 p.m., UDOT traffic cameras in the area showed that the truck had been moved upright. The highway ramp was cleared and traffic was moving normally as of 4:30 p.m.
