ST. GEORGE — An Arizona man was killed on state Route 7 east of St. George Wednesday morning in a rollover accident.

Emergency crews responded to a report of the crash shortly before 7 a.m., Utah Highway Patrol said.

Tyler Charles, 32, of Fredonia, Arizona, died as a result of the crash.

Troopers said Charles was driving a 2009 Toyota pickup truck that entered an on-ramp from Long Valley Road to travel east on S.R. 7 when the truck left the road, overcorrected and then overturned.

Charles was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck, Utah Highway Patrol said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others inside the truck were not ejected and suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but troopers said alcohol was being looked into as a factor.
