HUNTSVILLE — A man died Wednesday evening after his motorcycle drove off the side of the road at a high rate of speed, police say.
About 6:30 p.m. Wednesday a single motorcyclist was traveling southbound near the Weber/Morgan county line on Trappers Loop Road at a high rate of speed and drove off the side of the road and was ejected from the bike, Lt. Cortney Ryan with Weber County Sheriff’s Office said.
The rider, a 37 year old from Roy, died of his injuries, Ryan said. The man was wearing a helmet and didn’t appear to brake as he went off the road, Ryan said. Someone witnessed the crash and notified police, he said.
The man’s identity was not released and the investigation into the crash is ongoing, Ryan said.
