This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

Best friends Chris Quinones and Kim Brown knew the time was right to open Poison Creek Furniture and Design. After watching how furniture was being sold, they knew they had the right niche. Their passion has been matched by remarkable and complementary skill sets that make their partnership work. And if that isn't enough to be a successful business, they discovered the perfect location at 1255 Iron Horse Drive in Park City, which inspired their business name and launch.

See, Silver Creek runs through the heart of Park City and in the early 1900s it was contaminated, so it was nicknamed as Poison Creek. Today it's a beautiful, pristine creek, but the name stuck with the locals and became the inspiration for the name of the business. The door at Poison Creek Furniture and Design is often propped open so you can hear the creek.

Opening the business made sense for Chris and Kim because Park City needed a place to showcase stunning, high-end furniture. So, they have created exactly that space and their business, Poison Creek Furniture and Design, successfully launched in February.

Poison Creek Furniture and Design welcomes potential customers and targets designers who can bring their clients in, have them physically see and feel the furniture and have a great space to complete design work. Their furniture is set up in vignettes so clients can see exactly how it would look when it's all put together in their home. Plus they also offer accessory lines to create the ultimate one-stop shop.

Chris and Kim are committed to offering well-known names like Hickory Chair, Wesley Hall, Vanguard and Leather Craft as well as great pieces made by local furniture artists in Park City. Additionally, they feature original art from local artists because they believe in supporting their community.

The space at Poison Creek Furniture and Design is intended to be versatile so they can do events, meetings and local art shows.

Zions Bank has been providing value to the communities we serve for over 140 years. Member FDIC.
