Wyoming cruises to 89-75 win over San Jose State

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Hayden Dalton sank six 3-pointers and hauled in 10 rebounds to lead Wyoming to an 89-75 win over San Jose State on Saturday.

Dalton was 6 of 12 from the field and hit all four of his free throws to finish with 22 points and pick up his sixth straight 20-point game. Justin James added 17 points, Alan Herndon had 15 points and Cody Kelley, Hunter Maldonado and Alexander Aka Gorski had 11 points each for Wyoming (17-10, 8-6 Mountain West Conference).

The Cowboys, who finished with 25 assists on their 30 baskets, took the lead for good in the first half during a 16-0 run capped with Gorski's 3-pointer to make it 38-27, and took a 45-37 advantage into the break.

Keith Fisher III scored 26 points and had 10 rebounds to lead San Jose State (3-22, 0-14), which has lost 14 straight. Ryan Welage added 19 points, Jaycee Hillsman had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Jalen James had 10 points for the Spartans.
