CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Josh Robinson scored 21 points, Chris Horton and Kenny Jones each recorded double-doubles and Austin Peay beat Eastern Illinois 79-70 Wednesday night.
Back-to-back baskets by Robinson and Khalil Davis gave Austin Peay a 68-66 lead with 3:06 remaining. They came during Austin Peay's 13-0 run for a 74-66 advantage as Eastern Illinios went without a field goal for six minutes.
Robinson was 3 of 7 from the field — all 3-point makes — and hit 12 of 15 free throws. Horton and Jones scored 19 points apiece and Jones had his first career double-double with a season-high 10 rebounds, three fewer than Horton.
Davis had 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Austin Peay (12-15, 5-7 Ohio Valley), which made 23 of 30 free throws compared to 7 of 8 for Eastern Illinois.
Cornell Johnston led Eastern Illinois (11-14, 7-5) with 16 points and six assists while Trae Anderson added 11 points.
