INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Justin Fields threw three touchdown passes and J.K. Dobbins ran for 172 yards and another score to help No. 2 Ohio State rally for a 34-21 victory over No. 10 Wisconsin. The undefeated Buckeyes won their third straight Big Ten title. Their 19th consecutive win also likely clinches their first playoff spot in three years. Ohio State was ranked No. 1 by the College Football Playoff selection committee last week. Wisconsin led 21-7 at the half but the Buckeyes pitched a second-half shutout and scored the final 27 points.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — Anthony Cowan Jr. made a free throw with 2.1 seconds left and No. 3 Maryland erased a 15-point deficit in the second half to rally past Illinois 59-58 Saturday in the Big Ten opener for both teams. The 10-0 Terrapins didn't lead after halftime until Cowan's free throw but still matched their best start since winning 10 straight to open the 1998-99 season. Cowan collected a steal in the closing seconds of a tie game and was fouled in a scrum by guard Andres Feliz. Cowan made the first free throw and missed the second. Illinois failed to get a shot off in the remaining time.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Penn State coach James Franklin has agreed to a new six-year contract with the school that runs through 2025. It adds three years on to his previous deal. Penn State's Board of Trustees approved the contract, though financial terms were not immediately released. Since taking over in 2014, Franklin is 55-23, including 40-11 and three double-digit victory seasons in the last four years. The Nittany Lions are 10-2 this season and in position to go to a major bowl.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Kobe King scored a career-high 24 points and Wisconsin beat Indiana 84-64, handing the Hoosiers their first loss. Wisconsin, which snapped a three-game losing skid, built a 20-point halftime lead and stretched it to 30 with 12:09 to play. The Badgers shot 63% percent from the field and made six 3-pointers with just one turnover before halftime. King had 17 points in the first half and finished 10-of-15 shooting for the afternoon.

UNDATED (AP) — Picking the four teams to play in the College Football Playoff will be easy for the selection committee. Who is No. 1? There could be a lot of discussion about that Saturday night in that resort hotel in Grapevine, Texas, where the 13-member committee meets. LSU made its case for the top spot, thumping Georgia in the Southeastern Conference title game. Ohio State finished with a kick against Wisconsin. Clemson dominated again. The field will be set Sunday at noon Eastern.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Marcus Zegarowski scored 30 points to lead four Creighton players in double figures and the Bluejays made fast work of Nebraska in a 95-76 win. Zegarowski made four 3-pointers and finished 13 of 19 from the field at sold-out CHI Center. He also grabbed a career-high nine rebounds and matched his season high with six assists. Ty-Shon Alexander had a season-high 22 points with four 3s for Creighton. Haanif Cheatham led the Cornhuskers with 14 points. Cam Mack had 12. Creighton now leads the all-time series with Nebraska 27-26.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Brenna Wise scored 10 of her season-high 22 points in the first half and No. 14 Indiana beat North Florida 72-45. The Hoosiers used a 17-0 run in the first quarter to build a 27-19 halftime lead. The Osprey pulled within six points early in the third quarter but didn't get closer. Wise made a pair of 3-pointers and had a season-best nine rebounds.
