CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming psychologist accused of submitting about $6.8 million in fraudulent health care bill has been indicated by a federal grand jury.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for Wyoming announced Wednesday that Gibson Condie, of Powell, is charged with 234 counts of health care fraud. The indictment was returned last Friday.
According to the indictment, between June 2012 and February 2016, Condie submitted fraudulent bills for mental health services to Wyoming Medicaid through his business Big Horn Basin Mental Health Group Inc.
The indictment accuses Condie of overbilling Medicaid for clinical assessments, billing for services that were not provided and billing for services that Medicaid did not cover.
A listing for Condie could not immediately be found and calls Wednesday to Big Horn Basin Mental Health Group did not go through.
