NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — North Las Vegas police asked Tuesday for public help to find two people and a white pickup truck from which shots were fired at a neighborhood police substation 10 days ago.
Investigators have video of the 2:24 a.m. April 11 shooting at the department's northwest area office on Washburn Road at Allen Lane, Officer Aaron Patty said.
No one was hurt, but people inside heard shots and found windows and a wall had been damaged, Patty said. At least one bullet was found inside the building.
Patty didn't disclose the type of weapon that was used.
The vehicle was described as a white extended-cab pickup with dual rear wheels, no tailgate and no visible license plate. Police said it might have been a GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado. Shots were fired by the passenger, Patty said.
Police waited more than a week to release information about the shooting while detectives tried to find those responsible, Sgt. Chrissie Coon said. Now, investigators hope someone heard someone talking about it.
"Someone may remember someone who was angry with police and drives that kind of vehicle," Coon said.
