A cold frontal boundary will extend from the southern Plains to the Mid-Atlantic on Saturday, while an area of low pressure will move across the central rockies.
Moderate to heavy snow showers are expected to push across the Intermountain West on Saturday as an area of low pressure moves across the region. Heavy snow will be possible in Colorado and eastern Wyoming during the first half of the day before moving eastward over the central and northern Plains. Scattered snow showers will also be possible along parts of the northern Rockies. The West Coast will stay mostly clear of precipitation as a ridge of high pressure builds over the eastern Pacific.
Meanwhile, a cold frontal boundary will extend from southern Texas to New York on Saturday. This frontal boundary will be accompanied by showers and thunderstorms, which is forecast to provide wet weather to the southern Plains, the Gulf Coast, the Mississippi Valley and the Southeast. Conditions will stay mostly clear across the upper Midwest and the Ohio Valley, while temperatures are expected to be 10 to 20 degrees below normal behind the previously mentioned cold front.
A wave of low pressure is forecast to provide heavy snow showers to parts of Upstate New York and New England. A mixture of rain and snow will impact southern New England and the northern Mid-Atlantic on Saturday. .
