MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A person with knowledge of the deal tells The Associated Press that the Minnesota Timberwolves have traded the 53rd overall pick to the Houston Rockets for cash considerations.
The Timberwolves selected Italian forward Alessandro Gentile for the Rockets. The person requested anonymity because the trade had not been officially announced.
It was the second sale of a pick in the second round for the Wolves on Thursday night. They sold the 44th pick to Brooklyn.
The Timberwolves drafted UCLA guard Zach LaVine with the 13th overall pick in the first round and took Michigan forward Glenn Robinson III with the 40th overall pick in the second.
