DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Play in the 68-field NCAA men's basketball tournament starts tonight in Dayton, Ohio. The first two opening round games feature Albany against Mount St. Mary's and North Carolina State against Xavier. There are two more games tomorrow night in the Dayton arena.

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Former Tennessee basketball coach Bruce Pearl is back in business. He has been hired to coach at Auburn three years after being fired by the Volunteers for unethical conduct for lying to investigators in June 2010 about improperly hosting recruits at his home.

NEW YORK (AP) — Phil Jackson is back in New York. The coaching great started his career in New York as a forward on the championship Knicks in the 1970's. Since then, he of course has won 11 NBA titles as coach of the Bulls and Lakers. With New York he will serve as the president of the franchise.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed free agent receiver Tandon Doss. Doss played for Baltimore last season and made 19 receptions for 305 yards. He also led the league in returning punts with a 15.6 yards per return average.

ATLANTA (AP) — Four Georgia football players have been released on bond following their arrests Monday on misdemeanor charges of theft by deception. In short, three of players deposited paper checks on a mobile device while also cashing the checks at a store. The fourth player was charged with cashing a roommate's check after the check already had been deposited through a mobile app.
