WASHINGTON (AP) — Gerald Henderson is back for the Charlotte Bobcats.
Coach Steve Clifford said Henderson would start Wednesday night's game against the Washington Wizards, returning from the strained right calf that sidelined the shooting guard for five games.
Clifford said Henderson will split time at shooting guard with Chris Douglas-Roberts, based on matchups.
Douglas-Roberts scored in double figures in four of the five games he started for Henderson. The Bobcats went 3-2 in Henderson's absence.
Henderson had been averaging 14.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in 59 games this season for the Bobcats, who are seventh in the Eastern Conference and vying for their first playoff berth since 2009-10.
