COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) — Receiver Tyrell Williams has signed his restricted free agent tender with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Chargers general manager Tom Telesco announced the move Monday.

The 26-year-old wideout had 43 catches for 728 yards and four touchdowns in his third season with the Chargers, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Western Oregon. Williams had his breakthrough year in 2016, catching 69 passes for 1,059 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Chargers are stacked at receiver with Pro Bowl selection Keenan Allen leading Williams, Travis Benjamin and seventh overall pick Mike Williams, who struggled with injuries as a rookie.

Telesco also said the Chargers plan to pick up their fifth-year option for 2019 on running back Melvin Gordon. The Wisconsin product rushed for a career-best 1,105 yards and had 1,581 total yards from scrimmage last season, ranking fifth in the NFL.
