MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia University will receive nearly $500,000 in federal funding to support research in nanotechnology.
The National Institute of Food and Agriculture announced more than $3.8 million in funding Monday to nine universities nationwide.
The Institute says the research is aimed at finding solutions to challenges such as food safety and security, nutrition and environmental protection.
Nanotechnology is the study and manipulation of matter smaller than a hair.
