SALT LAKE CITY — Welcome to today's From Left Field! Here are three fun stories from around the world of sports.
1. Romanian soccer team tries to teach kids math
The Romanian national mens soccer team wants to help teach kids around their country math, so they've but mathematical expressions on the back of their warmup jerseys instead of numbers.

It's not just the jerseys, either. Romanian kids will also have soccer-related problems in their early-math worksheets in school. What a cool initiative. 2\. Little kid just wants a hug ==============================
The New York Knicks played the New Orleans Pelicans Monday night, and just as the Knicks were set to inbound the ball, a little kid ran onto the court and just hugged Carmelo Anthony.
We don't know who the kid is, but security seems to have gone easy on him.3. Team's social media manager has to take a break
As you can imagine, England's ninth-tier soccer leagues are not always professional affairs. Still, they have a surprising number of fans, which means Twitter accounts to serve those fans and keep them informed.
Well, usually. Except in this instance, team social media manager Harrison Allen had to be subbed in to the game, making it difficult to update Twitter any more.
Sorry for break in tweets. I came on as a sub for Millard. Other subs were Anderson for Millington and Hollingsworth for Wright — Sleaford Town FC (@SleafordTownFC) March 28, 2016
I'm looking forward to Real Salt Lake's director of communications Trey Fitz-Gerald getting on the field in next weekend's matchup.
