SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks unveiled their Super Bowl banner during a pregame ceremony Thursday night honoring the first championship in franchise history.

The banner was unveiled simultaneously on the field and in the rafters of CenturyLink Field before kickoff Thursday night against Green Bay.

There was no appearance by the Lombardi Trophy. A large tifo featuring an image of the championship trophy was draped over the seats in the north end zone with the word "Champions" underneath.

The pregame ceremony was short, featuring highlights of Seattle's 43-8 win over Denver in the Super Bowl and the championship parade that followed. Seattle was introduced minus the typical individual player intros and ran out as a team.

The brief ceremony capped a day of celebration in downtown Seattle. Fans started tailgating first thing in the morning and the stadium was full well before kickoff.
