Raiders release LB Curtis Lofton after one season with team

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders released linebacker Curtis Lofton on Friday after he spent one season with the team.

Oakland this week added free agent linebacker Bruce Irvin, who got a reported $39 million for four seasons.

Lofton started nine games and played in all 16 for the Raiders. He had 64 tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery.

Lofton also has played for Atlanta and New Orleans during his eight NFL seasons.
