ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson is banking on himself in attempting to make a career switch from wrestling to playing defensive line for the Buffalo Bills. The 24-year-old who has never played a football down in his life calls it a "unicorn situation" and an attempt at doing the impossible two weeks after signing with the Bills. Steveson earned the opportunity after the Bills invited him for a tryout last month, shortly after he was released by the WWE's development brand NXT. One big factor working in Steveson's favor is Bills coach Sean McDermott, a two-time high school national wrestling champion.
