BERLIN (AP) — Bayern Munich forward Mario Goetze has a broken rib and will miss the German Cup final against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

Bayern says Goetze was injured in the final Bundesliga match against Hannover a week ago, when he scored two goals. Bayern did not disclose the injury until Friday.

Goetze traveled with the club to Berlin for the final but was ruled out of the match before Friday's final practice. Bayern says Goetze has to rest for up to 14 days but that his participation at the European Championship in France should not be under threat.

Goetze scored the extra time goal that gave Germany the World Cup over Argentina two years ago in Brazil.

Germany starts its training camp on Tuesday in Switzerland.
