MURRAY — Keeshya Cox scored four of her five first-half touchdowns in the second quarter, and the Utah Falconz made quick work of the previously unbeaten Austin Yellow Jackets with a 56-12 win in the Western Conference finals of the Independent Women’s Football League at Cottonwood High.
The Jackets (7-1) struck first, but their lead didn’t last past the opening quarter as Cox got running to lead the Falconz (9-0) back to the league finals in North Carolina for the second-straight year.
Utah will face the Minnesota Vixen (9-0), champions of the midwest conference, on July 23.
