SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Led by Devon Barnes' 23 points, the UTEP Miners defeated the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos 79-76. The Miners are now 3-1 on the season, while the Gauchos fell to 4-1. Kenny Pohto had 20 points and 10 rebounds for UCSB and Jason Fontenet II also scored 20.
