We kick it off with a first for first time hunter Kristina. Skyler tells us his wife was extremely nervous about her first big game hunt, not sure she could pull the trigger. Opening morning while pushing some oak, the big buck jumped up and Kristina downed this HUGE 28 inch wide buck. Skyler couldn't be more proud , but says he's still jealous of his wife, as the buck is bigger than anything he's ever shot.
Dustin Doyle and Brandon Slaugh had quite the antelope hunts with their dads in Wyoming this year. Dustin tagged out first with this fine pronghorn and while driving back to town the boys spotted Brandon's buck. With a well placed shot at 300 yards, Brandon bagged this great buck that scores right around 75 inches...Nice job boys.
Jessica only had 3 points, but drew the coveted Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep tag for the Book Cliffs. Her luck continued as she downed this beautiful, nearly full curled, broomed off ram. Jessica says she had a great time with her family and friends.
Boy the girls are kicking butt! Check out Cathy Mowers great ram she took on the Newfoundland range three weeks ago. Their crew found sloppy conditions, but Cathy endured to the end, made a three hour stalk up the mountain and made a great 142 yard shot. She now has something to add to her husbands trophy room.
And finally our winner tonight is an early morning duck hunt before work. Austin and his buddy Brett only had a couple of hours to hunt and while waiting for shooting time to arrive they shot their best shot of the morning as the sun was coming up over the mountains of Cache Valley. Austin says they only bagged one bird, but the picture made the morning hunt well worth it... And now the next time you guys head for the marsh, you can take our big prize from Camp Chef, as you just won our snapshot of the week.
