WHITEROCKS, Uintah — The body of a woman was found Wednesday under what officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation are calling "suspicious circumstances."
The body was on a road northwest of Whiterocks, according to a statement from Sandra Yi Barker, spokeswoman for the FBI's Salt Lake City division.
"The body was found under suspicious circumstances and is being investigated as a homicide," Barker said in the statement.
Whiterocks is located in the Uintah and Ouray Reservation, in the eastern area of Utah near Vernal.
Duchesne County Sheriff's Office, FBI and Bureau of Indian Affairs are investigating the incident.
