WEST VALLEY CITY -- Police arrested a woman who they say stole a car and then led them on a chase.
An officer was patrolling near 4100 South and Redwood Road around 1 a.m. He followed a vehicle, ran the license plate and discovered the vehicle was stolen.
When he tried to pull over the driver, a chase began. It ended a short time later around 3100 South and 1500 West.
The two people in the car were taken into custody. Heather York, 23, was driving. Police say she has an extensive criminal history that includes stolen vehicle and drug charges.
