CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- The Utah Shakespearean Festival is one of 40 theater companies that will receive a $25,000 grant to participate in the National Endowment for the Arts' Shakespeare for a New Generation program.
NEA officials say the Utah group will bring a cast of eight actors to more than 60 schools in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho and Wyoming to perform Twelfth Night. Educational activities will include workshops on movement, text and acting styles.
The national program targeting middle and high school students will run from June 1, 2008 to May 31, 2009.
