SALT LAKE CITY — More than 3,000 people were without power and state Route 35 was shut down Wednesday night due to a wildfire in Summit County. According to Rocky Mountain Power, 3,074 people near the Svedes Canyon Fire lost power. In a Facebook post, Summit County, Utah, said the fire is estimated to be 4 acres. Lt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol said the fire caused the shutdown of SR 35 in Woodland, Utah. It has since reopened. At this time, no injuries or evacuations have been reported, however an "outbuilding" was destroyed, according to Summit County, Utah. Authorities have stopped forward progression of the fire. An investigation into the cause is underway.
