SALT LAKE CITY — Police are looking for two men involved in a shooting Saturday morning.
Around 6:30 a.m., a man was driving to work when he realized he forgot his tools at his house and turned onto Paxton Avenue from Main Street to make a U-turn. As he was turning, two African American adults driving a white sports car pulled into the street and blocked his car, according to Salt Lake police Lt. James Tracy.
When one man got out of the car and started to approach the victim’s car, the victim started backing up and turning around to leave the area, Tracy said.
The man started chasing the victim’s car and shot at the car at least 4 times, hitting it multiple times before leaving the area, according to Tracy.
The victim did not sustain injuries and was not hit. He does not know the men involved in the shooting, and police don’t know what their motive was.
Local businesses gave police video of the incident, and detectives will review it. Police believe it’s possibly a Ford mustang that the men were driving, Tracy said.
