Police identify 20-year-old motorcyclist who died in Ogden crash

OGDEN — Police have identified a motorcyclist who died in a crash on Wednesday.

Keifer Deamer, 20, of West Haven, died when he crashed into an SUV while riding his motorcycle, Ogden City Police Lt. Matt Boone said on Thursday.

The crash took place at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Canfield Drive (1225 North) at about 4:12 p.m., Ogden City police officials said in a statement. An SUV driver turned from Canfield onto Washington, and Deamer, was driving north on Washington, crashed into the SUV, an Ogden City police spokesperson said.

Deamer, who was wearing a helmet, was declared dead at the scene, according to police.

The 73-year-old man who was driving the SUV did not have any injuries, police said. He was the only person in the SUV. No citations had been filed in the crash as of Wednesday.
