STANSBURY PARK — A man was arrested early Thursday morning after police said he fired a gun multiple times into the air while driving away after a fight. A police booking affidavit said 33-year-old Fuluula Moroni Fuli was seen on security footage fighting with a woman in the driveway of a Stansbury Park home on Wednesday night. "During the altercation (Fuli) hits the victim and drags her by her arm. Then he returns to his vehicle to flee the area," the affidavit said. Fuli was seen on security footage shouting at the victim from his car. Then, he was reportedly heard saying, "watch this," before firing a gun from the vehicle, according to the affidavit. "Camera footage then captures (Fuli) drive down the street, and you can hear several additional gunshots," the affidavit said. Police found three 9mm shell casings in the area. The affidavit said Fuli had previously been reported as trespassing at the home where the fight was reported. The document identifies Fuli as a category one restricted person, meaning he isn't allowed to use a gun. Police said the fight was related to domestic violence. The affidavit argued that Fuli should not be released on bail for the victim's safety, and because he "would likely flee the country." Fuli was eventually found in West Valley City and was arrested by the Taylorsville Police Department. He was then booked into the Tooele County Jail. Fuli is accused of felony aggravated kidnapping, three counts of felony discharge of a firearm and felony dangerous weapon conduct by a restricted person. He's also accused of numerous misdemeanors related to weapons possession, drug possession and driving offenses.
