WILLARD, Box Elder County — The search for a missing jet skier came to an end Monday evening after the 27-year-old man's body was recovered at Willard Bay Reservoir.

The body of Isaac Maiquema Vasquez of Ecuador, who had been missing since Sunday, was found about 5:50 p.m., the Utah Division of Natural Resources said.

"This is a tragic and unfortunate circumstance. The Utah Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division extends condolences to family and friends," Utah DNR Capt. Chase Pili said in a statement.

The Utah Department of Natural Resources' Law Enforcement Division first received a report around 5:15 p.m. Sunday of a man in his mid 20s who was last seen on a WaveRunner personal watercraft.

The Box Elder County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue, Weber County Search and Rescue and Willard police were assisting the DNR in the search.

Crews used boats, aircraft and underwater technology as several agencies worked to locate him, officials said.

Utah DNR said the incident remains under investigation at this time.
